1NE SOUND Records, the house label from iWizz

The Journey

How it happened

2015
The duo

iWizz starts out as a DJ duo in London. Two selectors, one booth, learning the craft in the city's underground.

2017
Back 2 Back Sessions

The duo launches Back 2 Back Sessions with seven or eight partners: a collective effort, a room full of DJs building something together. Most of those early names have since gone their own way.

2018
One Sound

Back 2 Back was a shared journey. The duo wanted something that was purely theirs, so they launch One Sound, a small underground event built on a single line.

Two DJs · One Sound

That line would go on to name the label itself.

2019
The idea takes shape

iWizz steps out on his own, and the idea of a label of his own starts to form. He'd been building with Stuuks, a producer out in Mexico, and the two team up on Diamond, released on the Mexican label Turtle Musik. He's sure enough of the vision to sign his first track before there's even a label to put it out on: Stuuks's Dissent. What he doesn't have yet is the time or the know-how to make it real, so it waits.

2020
The label is born

The first lockdown lands, and with it the time he'd been missing. With a stack of music from the producers around him and three fresh tracks from Nocturnal Joe, it all clicks. One Sound becomes 1NE SOUND, a record label. Nocturnal Joe's Eye of the Tiger EP is the first one out of the gate, even though Dissent was the first one signed.

iWizz arrives

iWizz's own production steps up. After his debut with Howden, his Bonquisha EP lands with a full pack of remixes from Nocturnal Joe, Leon Dale and Mr Solo. The founder is now shaping the catalogue himself.

Kolo and Fox define the sound

Nocturnal Joe introduces iWizz to J Kolo and Mark Fox, and the two go on to shape what the label becomes. Kolo's Haters rocks dancefloors across the UK and the global stage, while Mark Fox and iWizz flip a Biggie sample into 411, a record that takes off in America years later.

iWizz on his own label

iWizz starts releasing his own music through 1NE SOUND and links with J Kolo on Name of Love. Around this the label signs Paul Robinson, Krow Beatz and KGC, the sound spreading across London's dancefloors as the roster hits full stride.

Full circle

The very first track iWizz ever signed finally comes out. Dissent had been locked in years earlier, before 1NE SOUND even existed, and it waited all the way through the label's beginnings before landing in 2023. The Mexican connection that started as a conversation in 2019 closes its loop on his own imprint.

Losing My Soul, at last

Another one that lived a secret life. Losing My Soul had been circulating as a promo since 2021, handed to only a handful of DJs and never officially out. In 2025 iWizz posted a TikTok saying he needed to release more music, and it took off. Two weeks later the track finally dropped, dragged into the light by the people who'd wanted it for years.

Today

Six years in, 1NE SOUND is a working label with a stable of producers and a sound that's still sharpening. Ashley Knights turns prolific with records like Bad Bitch, Mark Fox returns with Semtex, and the releases keep coming.
